That is the number of trophies that Dani Alves has won in his career.
The Brazilian right-back, who just joined Sao Paolo FC, is often regarded as one of the greatest right-back of all times. At 36 years of age, he picked the 40th professional honor in his career this summer when Brazil won the Copa America 2019.
Having played at Barcelona, Juventus and PSG throughout his prime, Alves has 3 Champions League, 2 Europa League, 6 La Ligas, 1 Serie A and 2 Ligue 1 titles to his name. For his country, he has lifted the Confederations Cup and the Copa America twice, amongst the major honors.
And at 36, he has no intentions of stopping.
Infact, Alves was awarded as the best player of the tournament in the recently-concluded Copa America as he led his country to victory on home soil. He was solid, as always in both attack and defence and made the most difference in the semi-final game against Argentina, where he was almost unplayable.
It seems likely that Alves still has a few more years of football left him, and it is well within his reach to become the first player ever to win 50 professional titles. Will he be able to achieve that?
